One last picture and then off to Cannon Beach!
Thank you Rys and Sandy for opening you beautiful Oregon home
to us! We had a wonderful time and you couldn't have been
better hosts! I still need that Lemon Chicken recipe!

We girls had a great breakfast together at a gorgeous lodge.
What a fun morning!
Later that afternoon, Lori opened a salon in the entry
of Sandy's home!Everyone of us got a haircut!
It was definitely a huge need for our family and
all three of the McCune girls went
home feeling "Oh so pretty"!
Thank you Lori!

HAIRCUTS BY LORI!

SKATERS!

NON SKATERS!
Peter actually did skate for about 20 minutes....
Then he became the photographer.

Ice Skating fun had by all! Lori wasn't really skating...but she couldn't stand to see Isabelle struggling. So she helped her out! Thanks Lori!

Imagine three families, breakfast, showers, a quick picture and loading up vehicles all before church! One of our missionary families at Church of the Open Door pastor a small church in La Pine. We were able to attend and see Loy and Dian in their church! It was very special visit!

Oh yes....boys will be boys.....Rys, Adam and Mark.
I would call it bonding time. Ask one of them about what goes in the nose?

Adam, Ryan, Jasmine, Kaitlin, Miranda, Isabelle and Nathan

Game Time...Apples to Apples and reading some books!
Kaitlin and Nathan had fun with the olives!

The first 5 days in Oregon we were at the Fairbrother home in Sun River. We had a great time enjoying each other, playing games, eating, ice skating, shopping and laughing!
Rys took the girls on a walk to the river one afternoon. They had a fun time. Earlier it had flurried and they had fun catching snow flakes on their tongue.

I realize it is January.....I have fallen behind on our blog.....the holidays have a way of doing that....I need to fill you in on the most refreshing and encouraging time we got to spend with friends in Oregon over Thanksgiving. I am having a difficult time choosing which pictures to post on the blog. As I look at the 500+ pictures I just smile with memories. I want to show them all to you! The smiles and the laughter and of course you will see the love.

The name given to this group of friends who call each other family is "Thanksgiving Club 2007". This trip was an absolute gift from God and His servants! I cannot in a few words describe the meaning of our trip to you....however Mark painted a beautiful picture when he said, "We were like drift wood washed up on the beach when we arrived and when we left we were firmly planted evergreens." I would add our evergreens were strong and fragrant.

The five families (not to be confused with The Godfather) who helped to revive us were The Berkmans, Fairbrothers, Bocks, Underwoods (Newkirk and Ronnow) and the Andersons. The tune rattling in my heart is from I John 4:10 "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son, to satisfy our sins." I count it all joy to call these families brothers and sisters in Christ, and I praise God for His perfect timing and love.

Enjoy the pictures...and remember the joy!
